Francesca Lin
Francesca Lin is a junior at Amador Valley High School and has participated in a variety of different projects since joining in 2020. She has previously served as the Treasurer and VP of Finance. She is currently the project co-leader for Kids Against Hunger, Family Giving Tree, FUNDrive, and FCSN Storytelling. Francesca is also the leader for the Chocolate Truffle Fundraiser held a few times each year to support GLIFY projects. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and listening to music.
Co-President

Brandon Gao
Brandon Gao is a junior at Dougherty Valley High School. Since joining GLIFY in 2021, he has taken on multiple leadership roles, including VP of Public Relations and Multimedia Manager. Over the years, he has led or co-led a variety of initiatives, such as the Reutlinger Senior Center, Africa Library Project, 1:1 Tutoring Program, Christmas Shoebox Project, and FunDrive. He has also volunteered with community efforts including the Contra Costa Food Bank, crayon sorting, White Pony Express, and the Eco Alliance Project. One of Brandon’s most memorable GLIFY experiences was organizing and performing at the 2024 Gala, as well as co-hosting the 2025 College Forum. Brandon is a passionate violinist and currently performs with the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with friends, playing video games, and card games.
Senior Advisor

Nadia Fan
Nadia Fan is a senior at California High School. She is currently the Senior Advisor for GLIFY. In prior years, she served as the Co-President, VP of Internal Operations, and Chief Editor. Nadia has led the White Pony Express, Crayon Sorting, Psych Circle, Alameda County Fair, FCSN Storytelling, and Eco-Alliance Fundraising. In her free time, Nadia enjoys playing volleyball, watching TV shows, and going on boba runs with her friends.
Senior Advisor

Joshua Wu
Joshua Wu is a senior at Dublin High School who has previously served as Co-President, VP of Membership, and Membership Development Manager. He currently co-leads several projects, including the San Lorenzo Family Help Center, Crayon Sorting, and the FunDrive Fundraiser, among others. Joshua has also participated in several other GLIFY events such as the Alameda County Fair, Kids Against Hunger, and many more. In his free time, he likes to go camping, hiking, and cooking.

Avery Liu
Avery Liu is a junior at California High School. She has been a member of GLIFY since 8th grade. Avery is the leader of the Summer Creative Writing Camp and a co-lead for Math Games and Psych Circle. She has also participated in Kids Against Hunger, Living Arroyos, Adopt a Senior, and several other projects. Avery is an athlete who plays volleyball, loves kids, and hopes to create more projects that focus on helping them as well as providing fun spaces for them to learn. In her free time, she enjoys baking, spending time with her friends, and singing karaoke.
VP of Finance

Yingkai Shao
Yingkai Shao is a junior at Dougherty Valley High School. He has been a GLIFY member for over four years. He has had lots of experience participating in various projects and leading events such as the Reutlinger Senior Center, Math Games Festival, Winter Math Workshop, etc. In his free time, he likes to ride his bike, read, and spend time with his family.

Janet Feng
Janet Feng is a sophomore at Foothill High School and has been involved with GLIFY projects since 2022. She previously served as Multimedia Manager, creating flyers, banners, and other promotional materials, and is currently a co-lead for the Kids Against Hunger and Adopt a Senior projects. Janet has also contributed to several other initiatives, including the Chocolate Truffle Fundraiser and Christmas Shoebox. Outside of volunteering, she is an artist and photographer who enjoys editing photos, snacking, and watching dramas in her free time.

Sophia Shi
Sophia Shi is a sophomore at Monte Vista High School and has been a member of GLIFY for four years. Currently, she co-leads the Contra Costa Food Bank, Alameda County Fair, and Family Giving Tree projects. She has also participated in a variety of other GLIFY events, including but not limited to The Crayon Initiative, White Pony Express, and MedShare. In her free time, Sophia enjoys drawing, reading, listening to music, and spending time with her cat.

Alex Chai
Alex Chai is a sophomore at Dougherty Valley High School. He is a co-lead for the Contra Costa Food Bank and Eco Alliance projects. He has also volunteered at Kids Against Hunger, White Pony Express, Family Giving Tree, and the Alameda County Fair. Alex loves volunteering and giving back to the community. In his free time, he likes to draw, play games, and spend time with friends.

Bradley Zhong
Bradley Zhong is a sophomore at Emerald High School and has been a member of GLIFY since January 2023. Before being elected VP of External Operations, he served as Volunteer Coordinator for a year. He currently leads the People of the Parks, Adopt-a-Senior, and Quest Innovation Fair projects. In his free time, Bradley enjoys playing soccer and volleyball, competitive programming, and spending time with friends.

Ashlinn MacKenzie
Ashlinn MacKenzie is a sophomore at Monte Vista High School and served as GLIFY’s Secretary last year. She joined GLIFY in 2021 and currently co-leads White Pony Express, The Crayon Initiative, and Eco Alliance Fundraising. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, listening to music, and hanging out with friends.

Evan Li
Evan Li is a sophomore at Dublin High School and has been with GLIFY since 2022. He has co-led and led many projects such as the Thanksgiving Basketball Camp, Summer Basketball Camp, Hively Initiative, and Back to School Basketball Camp. In his free time, he likes to go hiking and hang out with his friends. Evan plays high school basketball, football, and track.

Daniel Wu
Daniel Wu is a junior at Dougherty Valley High School and has been a member of GLIFY for over four years. He currently leads the Debate Camp and FUNDrive initiatives, and previously co-led the newsletter project. Daniel is a frequent volunteer in events such as Reutlinger Senior Center, Kids Against Hunger, Fertile Groundworks, and Living Arroyos. In his free time, he enjoys swimming, reading, and cooking for friends and family.

Yichen Lei
Yichen Lei is a freshman at Dougherty Valley High School and is currently the Member Development Manager for GLIFY. He joined GLIFY in 6th grade, co-leading the Contra Costa County Food Bank as well as the Family Giving Tree project. In his free time, he loves gaming and writing.

Elin Cheng
Elin Cheng is a freshman at Dublin High School with a strong passion for community service. She co-leads Family Giving Tree and has previously served as a co-lead for Living Arroyos. She has also participated in the GLIFY Debate Camp as an auditor and has been actively involved in various GLIFY events, including the Alameda County Fair, Kids Against Hunger, and the Contra Costa Food Bank. Outside of her volunteer work, she enjoys golfing, reading novels, and writing stories in her free time.

Mikaela Yao
Mikaela Yao is a freshman at Monte Vista High School and has been a member of GLIFY for almost three years. She currently co-leads the White Pony Express program and has participated in many other GLIFY events such as the Contra Costa Food Bank, Kids Against Hunger, Alameda County Fair, FunDrive, and many more. In her free time, she loves to read all sorts of books, bake desserts, talk with friends, and listen to music. She’s always on the lookout for new books, recipes, or song recommendations. Some of her hobbies include badminton, volleyball, and speech and debate.
Website Manager

Evan Jiang
Evan Jiang is a freshman at Emerald High School and is currently the website manager for GLIFY. Evan joined GLIFY in 8th grade, and during his time, he has participated in many events, such as Kids Against Hunger, Christmas Shoebox, Adopt a Senior, and many more. He also co-leads Adopt a Senior and AMC 8 Training. When he has free time, Evan likes to play the clarinet and go outside.

Alexander Xu
Alexander Xu is a freshman at Emerald High School and has been a member of GLIFY since 2022. He is the co-lead for Fertile Groundworks and Math Workshop. He has also volunteered for the Alameda County Fair, Living Arroyos, Project Omega Math, White Pony Express, and many more. In his free time, he enjoys reading, gardening, and programming.
